"Hey, four eyes!"
"Ugh. Are we calling me that now?" Jack turned to face his aggressor. His hands were buried deep in his jacket pockets as he glared through his porcelain mask.
The massive insectoid lumbered up to him, its jaws frothing. "How could you... embarrass me like that?"
Jack shrugged dismissively. "It was a critique. You should be able to handle one by now. Afterall..." Jack tilted his head back to take in the full height of the beast now standing right before him. "...You're a big boy."
"Raaauuurrgh!" the beast grunted, loudly cracking the joints in its claws in a threatening manner. "This was my night! My chance! And you only came here to humiliate meee!"

Jack rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He knew he should feel guilty for what he had said, but the beast had had it coming.
"You see this mask?" Jack indicated.
The alien just snarled at him.
"It let's me see things. Ultraviolet, night vision... Its got x-ray... Just to name a few things. I wear it so I can see art made by different races the way it was meant to be seen." Jack ran his fingers through his hair. "But the thing is... When you paint in the blood and guts of a little human girl and have the nerve to hide her name in its layers... It's not exactly a great piece to be showing off at a Human Embassy. You might have fooled some, but you'll never fool me."

Jack turned and walked off in disgust. The authorities would be arriving shortly to take the artist in for questioning.

This got me wondering: does Jack have a philosophy of art, or a definition of what constitutes art? You hear it all the time in the real world that something "isn't art" because the critic doesn't like the artwork or what it represents (or potentially in this case because of it's intent and what it's made of) so I wonder where Jack stands on this issue. Perhaps a future installment could be "Jack draws the line"?
